In 1991 two different bands shared a small stage and in 2006
the founding members of each band end up together in a project
they like to call Emersom Biggins. Fused together in 2005 as a
side project for Mark Stubby Staab and Todd Marquart of the rock/blues
band the Nosmo Kings and Keith Long and Michael Ferg Ferguson
of the original hard rock band Lowside they got started to build
a Modern Rock cover band. In 2008, Ferg's home life called for
him to move on up to Nashville, Tennessee, so the boys looked
for a new bus driver. Turn the page to Mike Stafford who is one
of the smoothest rhythm section drummers around. He took the throne
and is laying down some tight skins and adding some backing vocals
to the mix as well.
The band set out to pick the songs and what they came up with
was a list of powerful super-groups starting with Velvet Revolver,
Audio Slave, Stone Temple Pilots, Nickelback, Foo Fighters and
heading down the classic highway with The Rolling Stones, Queen,
Aerosmith and Van Halen to name just a few.
With Stafford on drums and Long laying down the basslines the
bands foundation is solid. Todd on guitar is a treat to watch
in itself and Stubby is a mean little bastard in the middle to
keep it all buzzing like a vibrating bed in a $20 motel room.
They have a good time and in turn the crowd has a good time and
whole place turns into a party, quoted from one patron of a Emersom
Biggins show. All and all this band will fill your void for great
rock music youve sang along to on the way to your journey which
is probably the bar. Well see ya there. |
